Shipping policy
Last updated: March 9, 2026
1. Scope of Application
1.1 This Shipping Policy governs all deliveries carried out by House Of Tailor (Owner: Phil Spenner-Schneider, Dornheckenweg 9, 63517 Rodenbach, Germany) in connection with orders placed via our online store.
1.2 Unless otherwise agreed, this Shipping Policy applies in addition to and in conjunction with our Terms of Service.
2. Shipping Area
2.1 Delivery is currently available to most countries worldwide.
2.2 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders for certain countries, territories, persons, or entities that are subject to trade restrictions, embargoes, or sanctions under applicable laws and regulations (EU, Germany, or other jurisdictions).
2.3 Orders to destinations not supported or restricted by export control regulations will be cancelled, and any payments made will be refunded.
3. Production and Dispatch
3.1 All goods are individually produced using a print-on-demand process only after receipt of the Customer’s order. No pre-produced stock is maintained.
3.2 Production and fulfillment are carried out by external partners located in the United States, Europe, and other international locations.
3.3 Dispatch occurs only after the completion of production. The Customer will receive a confirmation once the order has been dispatched.
4. Shipping Costs
4.1 Shipping costs depend on the destination country.
4.2 Costs are calculated and displayed transparently at checkout before payment.
4.3 Shipping costs are itemized separately on the invoice. No hidden or additional charges apply, except for customs duties, import taxes, or other fees imposed by the destination country (the Customer is responsible for such charges).
5. Delivery Times
5.1 Estimated delivery times vary depending on the destination country and the production process.
Special line: 10 business days on average; 95% of orders delivered within 15 business days.
5.2 Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding statutory public holidays in Germany and at the location of our fulfillment partner.
5.3 All delivery times are non-binding estimates. Delays may occur due to international shipping, customs clearance, transport issues, or other circumstances beyond our control.
6. Customer Obligations for Delivery
6.1 The Customer must ensure that delivery is possible at the shipping address provided and that all information is accurate and complete.
6.2 If delivery fails due to incomplete, inaccurate, or incorrect address details provided by the Customer, or due to unjustified refusal of acceptance, the Customer shall bear the resulting costs of repeated delivery attempts.
6.3 If the Customer instructs delivery to a third party (e.g., parcel shop, neighbor), the risk passes to the Customer once delivery has been made to such third party.
7. Partial Deliveries
We are entitled to make partial deliveries where reasonable for the Customer. Any additional shipping costs caused thereby will be borne by us.
8. Transfer of Risk
8.1 In accordance with § 446 BGB, the risk of accidental loss or deterioration of the goods passes to the Customer only upon actual delivery of the goods.
8.2 The statutory provision of § 447 BGB does not apply, as we contract exclusively with consumers.
9. Delivery Failures and Non-Availability
9.1 If we are unable to deliver within the estimated timeframe because our production or shipping partners cannot fulfill the order, we will inform the Customer without undue delay. Any payments already made will be refunded.
9.2 The Customer’s statutory rights (including withdrawal from the contract under §§ 323, 326 BGB) remain unaffected.
10. Force Majeure
10.1 In the event of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, armed conflicts, strikes, transportation disruptions), delivery times shall be extended by the duration of the disruption plus a reasonable restart period.
10.2 If such events last longer than eight (8) weeks, either party may withdraw from the contract. In this case, any payments already made for undelivered goods will be refunded.
10.3 Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
11. Taxes, Duties, and Customs (International)
11.1 Customers outside Germany/EU may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, or other fees imposed by the destination country.
11.2 Such taxes and fees are the responsibility of the Customer. We recommend checking local import regulations prior to placing an order.
11.3 Shipping costs do not include these taxes or duties unless otherwise stated.
